Default Wtf???

OK, I'm semi newbie, at least to the lsx crew. I've owned 4 Z's in the past but just came across something that was new to me. I just purchased a 2002 SS Vert and I was putting something in the trunk and noticed (left side) above the CD changer was a flap in the carpet. I raised it up and it exposes a brass fitting with clear lines and a shutoff valve. Is this some type of fuel shutoff or what the hell is it? Thanks

OK, just had a though after further inspection. The white thing under the lever looks like a pump. This must be part of the hydraulic system for the drop top?? Why would I have the lever to shut off the flow of the fluid running through these lines though?

Maybe you have to shut it off to be able to manually crank it, should be in the owners manual.

The mystery is over. It's a manual override to put the top up manually. It's a feature to be used in case of power loss (dead battery) or electrical malfunction. Oh yea, it was in the manual! But who expects a man to read the directions huh?

I read about that in my owners manual and I don't even have a convertible.
