I have had this Z for 2 weeks now. It is bone stock with 65000 miles. This is my first LS1 and I am pretty impressed with its power. I've got 5k to spend on mods. Any suggestions??? I am looking for a nice sounding streetable car. It is my daily driver, but i can manage losing some gas milage! Also does anyone know of a good shop near Greenville, SC?

Welcome to LS1tech! If you use search your question you will get TONS of answers, It isn't very often that your questions haven't been answered already.
First you have to have a set plan on how far you want to go. Street? Drag? Both?
Search first mods or something you will get plenty of answers.
But if I was to give my .$02 I would say Lid, LT headers, True duals or ORY and nice catback. Gears, Heads, Cam....Your wallet is the limit...It all depends on how fast you want your car to go!
Good luck and happy modding!!!

Honestly, if it were a daily driver and I got that kind of cash, I would focus on chassis/suspension parts and some quality bolt-ons. H/C and spray makes the car less streetable IMO.

I would have to say Lid, Lt's(if smog controlls are no concern) y and catback and then suspension. These cars already have plenty of power for a DD, so why not improve the real fun factor and make the thing handle like a slot car? If more after that H/C.

If you want it to still be street friendly, then why dont you get complete 243 heads and a 02+ ls6 cam and you already have a ls6 intake it being an 02 camaro. You can get that for well under 1000$ and you will have a ls6 405hp and 400tq engine which is still street drivable and good on gas. Best part is you still have 4000$ left for bolt ons, apperance, and a sound system. Just my thoughts

Why was your money on building a stock motor into well still a stock motor You said dd so screw heads and cam setup. do the bolt ons and suspension and call it a day.
