Default I need my car tuned-HELP???

This is my first LS1 car and my first experience with computer controlled EVERYTHING!!!!
I live in Northern Michigan (traverse city) and I am wondering if anyone knows who can do this, or when I am calling around what to even ask???
A great friend told me I should by a diablo tuner and work with it myself.
I like horseys but I will never run it at the track (to scared of breaking and having to pay for something)
My baby is a 1999 trans am Ls1 that has 93000 and other than the slp lid and smooth bellows, and (which reminds me) I installed a new TB today slightly bigger than the stock one and the service engine light is now on and it idles higher than my stock one did.
Please help direct me to a tuner and will tuning it cure my idle and enigine light woes????????

This might help you make a decision on hand helds. I'd get one with a code reader as well so you can read your own light. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com..._in/index.html

You should also try posting in the "midwestern members" section also. Someone over there might know a good tuner near you.
