i was wondering about the predator and slp programmers/tuners are they worth the money? or just hold out for a flash or a "real" tuner?

Save the money and hold out for a dyno tune, the hand held ones wont really gain you any hp

^^^^^^^^^^what these guys said tuners are pretty much useless, unless you need to change your speedo for gears and stuff, but who the heck wants to pay 300+ for a speedo cal. If i where u I would just hold out till you get some mods and then go get a good tune at a shop.

depends on your intensions..... not every one needs a dyno or an expensive professional tune, if your wanting to pep your car up change shift points calibabrate for gear ratio change, add alil timing, and have a scanner and ses light delete whenever you want and keep your car basicly stock ish with mild bolt ons, then a hand held is the way to go. if your gonna sure nuff build a street beast then hold out and buy tuning software or get a proffesional tune as you will be going through lots of changes. so it depends on your intensions. mine are building a monster thats why im selling my diablo. i bought the hp tuners.

btw im REALLY REALLY new at this tuning stuff, so this may be a dumb question.
i heard somewhere that we have a torque management system to soften the ride/shifts. if this is in fact true, can these handhelds remove that?
FYI, i am planning on getting the SLP 350 package soon and that should be it for the modding..........for a little while hehehe

yes it is, our cars have torque managment, with a diablo i know you can turn it off and plus change the line pressure on the tranny and up shift points too go from soft sstock shifts to what you would think was a built tranny! but u just have to be care ful some say not to turn it off just down, others like me turned it off.

if you decide to go hand held hit me up 250 shipped for my diablo , if your not gonna go CRAZY with mods its the way to go. they make um and people buy them for a reason, if they were useless they wouldnt be in buisness! but if you plan on doing lots of work hold out. i can answer most your questions bout a diablos capabilities so feel free to keep asking.
