Default looking for a turnkey LS1 in NewZealand

Hi guys,

Im somewhat a novice regarding chev engines,
have spent the last few years mucking around with Rover V8s and turbocharging diesels...

I have a 96 SWB Landcruiser and its engine is a bit rough and Im pretty much over having a big 900lb Diesel-to-Cancer converter in the front.

I have decided to forfill my dream and go for a chev v8, preferably an LS1 or 2.

The coversion is not going to be cheap so I am prepared to spend the money.
Any chev engines are relatively expensive in NewZealand so I have been hunting through crate motor suppliers in the states.
I love the concept of this engine from 'Turnkey engine supply'

http://turnkeyenginesupply.com/street_57390.htm

a 390hp/420lbft LS1 with vortec inlet, complete with computer and everything. $7500

I have searched extensively but dug up very little info of people's experiences with this company. There is an old post on here in which the owner of a new 450hp turnkey ls2 was very disapointed that it only made 315rwhp, but thats all Ive found.

I am looking for: aprox 350-400hp, fuel economy, adequate bottom and mid range torque, reliability, light weight, simple wiring hookup (preferably a pre-programmed or factory ecu).

what is my best option? what are others' experiences?

Cheers, Matt
