Question shavings in bottom of pan

I bought an ls2 out of a 06 GTO. Dropped the oil pan to put on one for a Camaro and there on the bottom of the pan were some aluminum shavings. I have been told by a couple of GM service techs that this is not unusual. I am a little more than concerned. Any insight would be great

I see it all the time. You'll see the majority of it during the break in period of a car however. It's nothing to worry about.

It only had 6500 miles. Also it came with the six speed, the clutch and fly wheel are in pretty good shape. So I don't think it was driven extremely hard.

you should be fine with the shavings. just make sure that you have a good oil filter and whatnot.
