Default yay, first power mod.

I just installed a lid. It was sort of a pita but thats because I'm retarded (I didn't know that you had to heat the end of the lid so it would fit over the maf) after that it was cake. Just took it out, noticable gain all through the power band. I really didn't think an ls1 with a lid would feel THAT powerful but it is!

Thats a great first mod.

If you need a 160 thermostat, I have a brand new one for sale, never installed it in my SS (sold). It wont fit my Vette.

I think the introduction most people give at LS1 Modders Anonymous meetings is "It all started with the lid..."

It's not as scary as it sounds if you know how to turn a wrench! Do motor mounts if you do headers makes a huge difference

I agree, LS1 is a little easier to work on than a LT1. Intake and Exhaust is the secret!
