Default ss hood...

in order to utilize the ram air of the hood do i need a special intake/lid...all i really see are volant intakes for close to 300 bucks...do the ss's come with a different intake than the z28s?

from all the SS's i have seen i havnt seen a different lid of any kind. the WS6 TA's have their lower air box thing sitting alittle higher though

so what good is the ram air if the lid is covering the filter which leads to the throttle body etc?

i know all of that...i just wanted to know if there was a special intake/lid for the ss hood to make it somewhat functional rather than just looking good

Same under the hood. the hood goes into the small sut out in front of the lid underneath.

^^^ if u remove that foam peice on the airbox that is where the ss hood directs the air
