I had stock suspension and subframes with drag radials and was wheel hopping badly off the line, so I put an adjustable torque arm and adjustable LCA's on the car and no more wheel hop. Both were made my BMR, and are quality parts.

I can't comment on DR's but can tell you that the mods I've done have increased my traction on the street with no wheel hop and more straight line launch on street tires. Sub-frame connectors, lower control arms & relocation brackets. This was on lowering springs, SLP shocks, adjustable panhard rod and wider 315's.

Tonight will be my first night using them, so we'll see. Either way, it should do better than a couple of the FWD cars I've raced at the track.
haha gotta love the FWD cars

^^^ what he said..i took my front swaybar off, put some drag radials on, and put some comp drag shocks on the rear...as far as getting below a 1.8 60 ft i dont see that happening but ya never know..is the car stock??? thats gonna be hard to do on the stock converter...but if you do dont expect the stock 10 bolt to last to long.

Well, last night was an experience. On street tires, my first run, I stalled to about ~1800rpms (couldn't get much more on stock converter). I slowly let off the brake on the 3rd yellow (didn't give any gas), and the tires just lit up. 2.4 60'. Next pass, I stalled lower, let off the brake slower, and rolled into the gas slower, and it was just too "careful" of a launch. No spin, but a 2.2 60'. I think if I would've really worked with the street tires more, I could've gotten it down to a 2.0x 60', but it would've taken practice. I was excited to try the DR's, so I put them on next. The next 2 passes, I stalled as high as I could and punched it launching the car as hard as I could-and it BOGGED! The car fell on it's face! So on my last run, I staged at idle, and just stabbed the throttle. That seemed to work better, and I got a 2.0 60'. So, I can either plan on trying more with street tires, or always use DR's and get a converter, I dunno. Thanks for the help.

Everybody likes to launch differently, but I prefer to foot brake to 1500rpm and let the converter flash up a bit. But I have a stall.

If I were you, I'd get a stall (makes driving LOTS of fun), plus it will really help at the track. I think you can improve on a 2.0 60 foot with drag radials. Make sure you do a good burnout to heat them up.

Good luck!

pretty good guess huh? HaHa... Usually with a stock converter the thing to do is get just off idle and flash the converter...
