Default Does anyone know what this is?

Check out these pics and let me know if you have any idea where this piece goes. I was cleaning out the car a few weeks ago and noticed this thin, black, metal piece on the floor (passenger side). I got a flashlight and checked under the dash in that area and can't find anywhere where it might go.

its not used to take the seats, carpet, side panels, b pillars, back panels, trunk carpet, or security shade or the plastic covers under the dash.

I've taken all those parts out, and never seen one of those.

Good luck,

Ryan.

that is a metal clip that holds up the sheet of plastic that holds back all the wires on the passenger side near the feet. To put it back on look for a round thingy that sticks out about one inch and goes though that sheet of plastic and just slide that metal clip over that. it is near the center counsel.

Thanks Blue, I'll get back under there with a flashlight tonight and see if I can find what you're talking about. I may PM you if I don't see it. Thanks for responding. I took the car to the dealer for another issue a few weeks ago and showed it to them and the guy said it was probably just scrap from the factory and not to worry about it. I knew he was full of crap so I figured I'd ask some people who would actually know.

This item is actually called a Tinnerman nut, it was developed by Tinnerman Products of Cleveland, Ohio years ago (probably showing my age with this)
