Default How much can i expect to spend??? Nitrous NOOB

Heres the deal..
I have a buddy with a blown/built sn95 cobra, put down 550rwhp 450tq. I was going to do a cam only in my car but after seeing the incredible #'s the cammed and sprayed cars are putting down ive decided to go this route (and romp that cobras ***!)

Well the spray is what im going to be buying first thinking about going with a 100 shot. My car is full bolt ons, built 4l60e with a TCI3500 converter.

Is a wet shot typically better?

Also what accesssories will i need to buy? Window switch, pressure gauge, blow down tube??

Thanks for any help!

And also as the thread states....How much will a kit with all the accessories I need run me?? (Going to find a used kit if I can)

There are alot of different options available. Deffirent designs and quality will yeild different prices. If you are looking for the best so its reliable and last along time it will cost alittle more than something that is not as well built and designed.

Everyone has there own apoion of Wet VS Dry. If anyone tells you either one is safer than the other they are wrong. Either system can be just as safe or just as damaging as the other.

I personally prefer a wet sytem on my personal cars. I am all about keeping it simple. I like the ease of tuning. I also like the ability to grow with the sytem with out being limited to injectors and computer tunning.

A typical nitrous system with all the needed accessories can run anywhere from 700 to 1200 dollars.

If I can help put something together to fit your needs shoot me a pm. I will be happy to help.

Dave

Like Dave said, if you buy new plan on spending about a grand for everything.

You can save alot of money by picking up a used kit though. There are a ton of them in the classifieds right now.

If your set on getting a used kit i would skim through the for sale section. There always seems to be a few in there. Sometimes its easier to go with a new kit since the previous owner tends not to send certain install pieces. More often then not we have calls from people trying to complete a used kit they purchased.

We have some of the best quality kits available without chopping off an arm and a leg. We are exceptionally good at reducing our operating expenses and passing that savings on to our customers. In this day and age I am sure everyone loves the idea of getting more for less and thats what we try to do. For your needs, one of our single nozzle wet kits would work well. You want to stay below a 150 shot otherwise i would advice a fuel pump upgrade. In addition to that you have a few options, all depends on how safe you want to be. We do have a great accessory package to compliment a base kit or we could piece together certain items for your needs.

These two combined would give you a complete kit that will be very safe..Just $800 for everything...800 might sound like a lot, but you sure are getting your values worth

I can say I have heard good things about HSW, but personally I have dealt with Chris at Nitro Dave's and they have amazing customer service and are very knowledgeable. I can definately say if you are going to buy new to go with one of these two sponsors. They both offer some very quality pieces for, like he said, not an arm and a leg.

You know, I always meant to try that plate, but after I cut a 1.31 with the HSW plate on a 100 shot, I decided against it. Something about those little holes all the way around the plate

Dynotune has a great product for the price. One thing to note when purchasing a kit is the quality of certain parts. I've been told that Dynotune uses all stainless fittings, while other companies have been known to use brass fittings. They do what they have to do, to keep costs down

Default My 2 cents

I have a TNT power ring setup on my car and love the way it is setup and looks. but right now they are hard to come by. so far as controls i have the HSW Microedge controller and i love it. its pretty much a all in one safety box. built in window switch, lean cutout, can run up to two stages and much much more i think you should check into this. its really cheap compared to what you are getting for your money.
