Bad Guages?

Bad Guages? Not sure if this goes here or not, but am installing a nitrous kit, so. I have autometer fuel pressure and nitrous pressure guages and neither one seem to be working. bought the kit used so they both could very well be bad. But just wanted to check my wiring and such first.
Here goes. Have 3 guages, the two above and A/F guage. the A/F guage is not autometer and seems to be working just fine using the same power and ground as the FP and NP guages. Now the FP guage will power up when the sending unit is not connected to the guage. But when you connect the unit the guage doesn't do anything. The NP guage does nothing at all. with sending unit connected, or not connected. Even powered the FP guage up with the NP plug w/o sending unit connected. Are the guages bad, sending units bad, bad wiring? Do all three guages need to have their own power and grounds or can they be piggy backed to each other?
Any ideas?

The autometer sending units are 5V. I run just the sending units, not sure if the gauges step down the voltage. Autometer tech support is pretty good, use that and they will reply in a timely manner.
