Default How much pressure can a nitrous bottle hold?

I would like to use the bottle to hold air. How much can it hold pressure wise? The valve too please. Obviously I would most likely need to remove the blow off disc and put in a plug. Anyone know?

as soon as it starts flowing your pressure will drop under 900 almost immediately

no need to have over 1000 bottle pressure

oh... your talking about air..... never mind then...

They are usualy rated. Nitrous psi they are 1000-1200 typicaly. Apparently 3000 seems to be the number.
Why do you want so much air in a bottle?

Find a specific bottle for what you're looking to do. Do not modify your safety devices to exceed recommended values. The pressure relief discs are there for a reason. Could you imagine if you saw a rapid increase in pressure with no way to relieve it? I can think of at least two incidences that resulted in serious damage from modification of them. Both of which, all parties involved are lucky to be alive. Most nitrous bottles have a working pressure of 1800psi and the burst discs are usually rated to 2200psi. Their failure rating is much higher, but I will tell you that I would not like to be the lucky individual to test that!

get a co2 bottle for welding they are cheap and hole co2 in liquid form and you will get alot more volume from that. Do not fill the bottle to 3000 psi it will blow up. Do not remove the safety disc either it needs it badly. If you are try to pump tires or an air shifter then use co2 it is safe and cheap.

What are you trying to do? Make a push system or something?

you could try taking your nitrous bottle to get tested for 3000psi.
i'm sure they'll give you an earful about that.

I would look for a bottle that has a working pressure of 3k psi. I would honestly look at the nano stuff. All pre-packaged ready to go with the correct bottles and safety equipment.
