I'm Back (almost)

Hope to see some test runs in the next 2 or so weeks.

I finished assembling the motor a few weeks ago. A lot of time in this bad boy.

Special thanks to:

Nitro Dave for a killer nitrous setup.

2 foggers, and is that a plate on the bottom side? If so, you're not messing around.

How big is the motor, and what is the goal?

FastBlackTA Oct 9, 2009 02:13 PM

The motor is only 402 cubes.

As far as my goal, I really don't know at this point. Just hope to have a little fun and be faster than last year!

JL ws-6 Oct 9, 2009 03:31 PM

402, is it a square 402, or another configuration? Which heads, and what block? Solid roller?

FastBlackTA Oct 9, 2009 04:05 PM

Same crank/block as last year. 4 inch bore 4 inch stroke.

Trick Flow heads with a few tricks :D

He got enough nitrous to blow him self up, PERIOD!

No that is awesome. How much juice will you be running? A few 150+ stages?

Interesting. You stayed on the smaller side of things CI wise which I am curious as to why (unless it was a cost thing then I understand all too well)

I am considering staying in the 400ish inch range as well (Billy Glidden school of thinking)

There was no theory behind it. I have a large LSX motor in the works. This is going to be my "back up" for the large engine but will let me get a lot of testing in before we go 440+ cubes and 6 bolt heads.

Got ya, and it makes sense.

I wish I could afford to build just one big motor nevermind a backup.

Sounds good though!
