Default Can my setup drink 150 - 200 shot of nitrous ?

Yes finally recieved all the parts and put them together

Decided to spray some nitrous so I go ahead and ordered plate system from Nitrous Outlet

I'm asking cause I heared that the pistons I'm having cannot handle 150-200 shot !!!! .. also wanna verfiy if my fuel is OK with spray

Here more details and it did 440rwhp/419rwtq through M6 ( 22xish cam for street manners )

LS1 Bottom End :-

- Mahle Forged Pistons Flat-Top -4 dished ( Bore 3.898 )
- Eagle Forged H-Beam 6.125" Rods w/ ARP2000
- Stock Crankshaft
- Clevite Bearings

Induction / Heads & Valvetrain :-

- FAST 92/92
- PRC 5.3 STG 2.5 Milled to 59cc
- Custom Camshaft

Fuel

- Walbro 255 w/ Harness
- FAST Fuel Rails
- FAST 36lbs Fuel Injectors

What do you think ?

You'll be fine with that bottom end. Just watch the tuneup, pull plugs, be conservative with the timing, etc.

I'd be a little worried about having enough fuel though. I'd either put a stand alone in the car or throw another 255 in the tank to be safe if it was my car for much more than the 150.

What does the car make on the motor?

Regarding the plugs will have the colder ones ( BE7erf << not sure the part # ) and for the tune ; I'm having great tuner hear beside the LPE timing control

I'm thinking about the stand alone after I save some bucks next month ..

The car made 440rwhp/419rwtq on motor via M6

36lbs injectors will be ok ?

You are leaving alot out of the equation. What other mods, etc, etc. I'm willing to bet that your car makes less than 450-500 on the bottle if you're spraying it on the stock fuel system and aren't having delivery problems.

To the OP:

The injectors should be fine with the wet kit. If the thing makes that much on the motor, take my suggestion to upgrade the fuel delivery situation. I'd lean towards a stand alone in the front of the car so you can add some better gas into the mix. I'd also throw a set of 8's in the car if you hit it much harder than 175.

FWIW, it seems like my setup is pretty similar, just a little more aggressive (435rw through a TH400).

What are the specs on the cam?

The cam from Geoff @ Engine Power System 222/226 115lsa ,I choose this cam cause of my project to make a car that put down 400 rwhp with stock idle ( Yaa do you race ? my car is only bolt-ons lool ) ..
but I installed this cam with PRC 5.3L stg 2.5 milled to 59cc with ( -4 pistons + 6.125" rods ) to achieve 11:1 CR and the result was as stated above and it is more 40rwhp than what I'm looking for with nice torque curve

People have shot 150 shot+ on stock end bottom

so is it true that those Mahles cannot hold under 150-200 shot with enough fuel ( wet setup + stand alone ) and good tune ????

Nope the car ran good on 150 shot all day no problems i put a set of egk spark plugs in and the car ran very well i ran a 12.3 at 118mph at the track spinning 1st and 2nd off on a 1/4 of the bottle i didnt have alot of pressure in the bottle at all. so if my car can handle 150 shot on the stock fuel system u should be good with 36lb injectors.

I'm spraying 150, probably going up to a 200 sometime on a stock bottom end w/ TEA Stg 2.5 5.3 Heads, a 228r cam, and an ls6 intake. Your setup will be fine. Just run a cold plug and make sure you have enough timing yanked.

You'll pop that motor from distribution issues before the motor lets go due to too much stress

This. Cylinders #2 and #8 don't get as even fuel distribution and go lean.

WHAT OTHER MODS... 118 is not support of power ANYWHERE CLOSE to what he is dealing with. This guy makes about what your car would probably make on the nitrous on the motor.... TOTALLY DIFFERENT SITUATION.

I agree that the injectors will be fine, but he should look at another pump/stand alone to be safe.

Doubtful with such little nitrous.... 300-350 maybe, but not 150-200. That's why he needs to pull plugs and make sure his tune up is ok. Tune for the leanest cyl.

Quick Reply: Can my setup drink 150 - 200 shot of nitrous ?
