Just as the title says, what part of the track is it better to spray when dialing in the nitrous? Do you do it in the first 1/8 when there is more load on the motor so you can make sure there is enough timing pulled or do you do it in the last 1/8 when there is less load on the motor?

When testing a new setup you don’t want to be dealing with wheelspin so don’t spray in first gear. You need to be thinking about time (duration), not load. For a first test, don’t spray more than two or three seconds. You want to spray through your rev range without changing gear. If you have an auto, spray second gear, an M6, third. See what you see. When you are satisfied all is well, try a longer shot. Carefully work your way up. Never spray below 3000 rpm.

Under most circumstances the idea way to go about it is like ATV has stated. There has been times where we had to use the top end of the track to get our information instead of the short end. It really depends on turn off points. If you use the short end of the track to make a short burst and have no turn off to coast off the track you are forced to drive off the track. That ruins any information you would have recieved from reading the plug. In cases like this we use the top we of the track.
