Default What plugs and advice?

Well trying to figure out what spark plugs to get? I currently have 6 ngk's. Im going to be running about a 125 shot and have currently a 408 LQ9 making 505hp and 478rwtq. This is my dd so it won't be sprayed very often just want to be hit the switch when needed. Also I currently have 36lb fast injectors..at the power I would be making im thinking im going to run out of injector at a 125 shot. Just hook me up with some advice! Thanks

You'll definately want to run BR7EF plugs or equivalant. I had a slight miss on a 100 shot and TR6's. Which are only good up to a 75 shot. The BR7EF is for 100-150 shot.

Injectors. I've got 42lb's in my 408.

What's your current duty cycle on motor? If you haven't purchased your kit yet and are worried about running out of injector just go with a wet shot instead of dry and your injectors will be fine.

At a minimum #7s but if you're at 500 rwhp now plus 125 shot (i assume to the tire) you're in the 625ish range. I will be going to #8s at the 600 mark.

What's the compression like? The 7's would probably be okay, but if it was me I might throw an 8 in it just to be safe.

For the duty cycle im unsure.. will find out next week. Im waiting on some new 02's to get in (13111's) so I can do a sd tune for the low end. Also the kit will be a wet kit.. picked up a zex blackout kit for cheap so Im going with that for now. Honesty... Im not sure or know how to check compression I had texas-speed give me some advice along with ls1tech. But the more research I do I think im lower then 11.1. Currently have TFS 215 milled to 61. Head gasket is .40, and the pistions are -10. I do all my work, just don't know how to do a few things.lol....yet.

You need a compression tester. You can pick em up from harbor freight for pretty cheap. You take a spark plug out and crank the motor and it will put a psi on the gauge which will correlate to what compression your running I dont know the numbers for that though. I would assume with a -10 piston your under 11:1 though but milling the heads brings it back up.

#7 or 8 gapped @ 35 I would run good ocatane at least 93 make sure and tune it with what fuel you are going to use to race it with. I would get a wet kit and make sure and replace your stock fuel pump to.

With a wet system you injector duty cycle will not be affected by nitrous. Your fuel pump however, will need to be able to handle the nitrous and motor requirements.

I would run an 8# heat range plug.

You are right on that fine line between 7s and 8s. Assuming you are running on pump gass I would say to start with a number 8 plug. If you do your N/A tune on the 8 plug drivability will be fine and it will not bother you having that plug in all the time.

Ask who ever tuned the car with the 36s in it when you got your hp numbers to look back at your tune and see where the duty cycle was on the tune. 36s should be fine for the motor but they will mopre than likely not be enough if you are using a dry set up.
