Nitrous isn't activating... 1 Attachment(s) A few months ago i replaced all my old nitrous components with new Nitrous Outlet parts. I hate wiring and i'm not good at it, so when i unhooked everything i labeled each wire so i could just match them back up. When i was finished, i went out to test it....and got nothing. A couple months have passed and i went out and re-wired the entire thing fallowing a basic diagram, i also hooked my purge back up. Well, i went out to test it again and i still got nothing! The purge works but the noids are not activating. The purge is hooked up to it's own power supply but the ground is tied into the noids and relay grounds ... Attached is the diagram i fallowed, minus the FPSS. One thing i did do different, is i tied all the grounds together (relay ground & solenoid grounds) I'm 90% sure i did it right. I mean, it's so simple, how could it not be working? :bang: |
I blame the Diagram! (Kidding) Have you set the FPSS? |
I don't have a FPSS. |
Have you armed the system and tried clicking the WOT switch with the bottle off and the car off? |
Sure did and got nothing. My dumbass probably wired it wrong, somehow....yay. I can not stand wiring. |
I hear you. Check the power and ground coming into the microswitch. See if it is the switch itself. |
The micro switch has been on the car for about 4 years. Is it a possibility that it took a shit? Does that happen very much? I guess i have never heard much about a micro switch going bad. |
Not very often. But its pretty much that or the relay unless you did something "Challenged". |
Micro switch is good. Still can't figure it out. When i look at it, everything looks good to me. I'm confused. |
Maybe the relay gave out? Or maybe you switched a couple of connectors on the relay? Try putting a direct pos/neg to the terminals to see if it clicks. Then test to see if the microswitch is passing current. -Will |
What window switch do you have? Hit each selonoids with 12volts(I think) and that will rule out any grounds. |
I would check and make sure you wired relay correctly. Use a jumper wire and hook 12v straight to the nitrous solenoid with the bottle off and see if it clicks. |
maybe the arming switch itself blew up due to the badassery of the solenoids. i had an arming switch blow up on me once |
Figured it out, bad relay. It works....now i just need to go spray it since it has been far to long! (Oct. 2010) |
