TNT's bottle heater This thing came with a cigarette lighter plug on the end. Can this thing be hard wired and still work properly? Also does anyone know if this heater will not overheat the bottle? Thanks, mrTNT |
Re: TNT's bottle heater For whatever reason TNT does not tell you their bottle heater is really for a C5, not a F-body. If you want your bottle in the spare tire area you'll have to either splice the wires & devise your own system to turn it on & off & also you'll have to watch the pressure so you know when to turn it off or get a different bottle heater. I got the TNT bottle heater & was pissed that they didn't say I had to do all this B.S. to make it work with my car, so I sold it to a guy with a C5 & bought the NX warmer that's already set up for you. It's your choice but I would sell it & get one that's actually made for a F-body. |
Re: TNT's bottle heater I just installed a cigarette lighter plug hole on a friends mustang. I hot wired it to a relay and just used it for power so I wouldnt have to splice the warmer. Ive had a NX warmer on my car for over a year and a half and havent had any problems. Here is a pic of it. its in the corner. http://community.webshots.com/storag...JrxSsbi_ph.jpg |
Re: TNT's bottle heater Come on Guys… Let’s get a little creative. Here is my simple/cheap resolution. Works like a charm. Even has a switch to turn on and off!! Plug it in, hide the wire and your good to go.... Dave http://mycars.myplace.com/Dcp_1320.jpg [ January 25, 2002: Message edited by: F1 ]
|

That way I could plug in my radar detector and phone charger in the other one. Albert |
