First Nitrous LS to the 4.70's!
 

Took the nitrous car out to MIR last night for Bobby to drive in the first points race and right out the trailer went a 4.79@147! Had a great night and he ended up winning the race while taking me out in the semis in my blower car. Thanks to everyone that helps us out. Brian Tanner for working like crazy taking care of the car maintenance between rounds so I can focus on the tune ups. Santore, Buck and everyone else on our crew for always doing whatever it takes to make the next round, it is really all appreciated. Justin / bobby taking over x275 ls power. What a team.

The worst 60' was a 1.18 and best was 1.12. We had a little different tune up in it to go rounds trying to play it safe and make sure it didn't spin the tires.

Thanks! We went a 1.12 at sgmp in feb but the siphon tube broke in the bottle right before the 60ft. I would loved to have known what that pass would have been.

I thought about it last night. My nitrous car was first LS nitrous car to the 5.0's, 4.9s, 4.8s and now 4.7s. This ole girl has some history!

What are some of the major changes/improvments that have alowed the nitrous car to go from 5.0 to 4.7's Were you able to push another 150+ hp worth of nitrous through the motor?

What rear gear and whats the stall speed and diameter on your converter smith? Is it an ATI?

There have been a lot of various changes over the last few years with the car. Their has been a great deal of weight taken out since the 5.07 in 2009. The car weighed 3150-3170 back then and Friday night was around 2870-2900. Im not 100% sure since I was never at the scales with it because I was driving my other car. There have been a lot of different things done to the motor to make it live with more nitrous and hopefully respond better to more nitrous. I ran the 4.79 on 2 stages and still have the 3rd to cut on. I had ran my previous best last year on 3 stages so I feel that our changes over the winter could have helped us. I cannot go into specifics but some head work was done, cam changed and new headers were built over the winter. I have put a lot of test time into this combination and we race at a very competitive level so I can't just give out to much direct information. I am willing to help anyone with their program tho.

Its a 9' fuel and blown ATI.

Wow I thought you only had 2 stages of nitrous I didn't know you were spraying 3 kits or even had 3 kits.

Are you using both sides of the fogger nozzle?

Do you think switching to a sheetmetal intake and 2x4150 would pick it up a lot and something you have thought about?
