aluminum block strokers and spray

aluminum block strokers and spray id like to see some setups. 402 LS2, 418/416 LS3....etc.
i dont care to hear "iron blocks are the **** for spraying..."
just want to see some people spraying on aluminum 400+ci engines and how they are holding up, and information on their setup.
from information i can get an LS2 block vs. and LS3 block will yeild more strength due to thicker walls. but i would like to hear things on the LS3.
sorry if its a repost most threads ive read on this are from 06-07...

Well stock shortblocks (ls1) hold 300+ on a spot on tune up. What are you really looking for? 300-400hp can be done on a proper set up. The piston specs, Dynamic compression, and tune up are going to hold you back before the block does in nearly all cases.

guess im in the planning stages of a stroker, but want room to grow with the nitrous. im with you, ive seen lots of 200-300 shots on ls1's. but it seems like when people will be spraying that much, their new motor build consists of an iron block...guess im wanting to see some peoples setups.
im thinking a 402 ls2 or 418 ls3 (or close to these engines) can hold a 300 shot no problem...i just want to see some proof of people doing it!!!

This setup has been in my car for 3 years now with alot of passes and #'s of nitrous ran through it (200 shot).
No real issues... I just built a standalone fuel system for it this past winter and I'm getting ready to "play" a little more. I used to run Autolite AR472s but recently changed to the NGK b9efs plugs. I recently hit the 2nd stage with another 100 (300hp total) for some dyno pulls. Its not quite putting down what it should so I'm currently looking into that.
As others have said, its all in the tune to make them live. If you're going to spray 200-300 on an aluminum stroker I would have no worries... just make sure you buy good parts, have a good machinist and engine builder, and get the tune right. Good fuel, good plugs, safe tune, read plugs, and go from there.

wiseco pistons (11.7:1 cr)
PRC l92 heads
Pat G N20 cam (244/256 on a 114 lsa .63X lift)
LS3 intake/PTM 92mm TB
6spd/9"-4.11's
BR7EF's
On a 175 shot the car put down 665/760 to the wheels, tuneup was 17* timing and 93 octane.
I have sprayed as much as a 250 shot to it on the street. Motor never skipped a beat.
The car had a lot more in the tuneup and was planning on doing more nitrous, but sold the car to fund a full out race project.

How soon are you looking to get an engine? I am currently running a 413 ci LS2, that I am spraying and it hasnt skipped a beat. I was planning on running it for another season before having a turbo motor built, but I will be selling it before I have the new motor built. If your interested, or want more details shoot me a pm.
Like everyone else said, as long as you have a good tune in the car it will take plenty of spray.

guess part of my question is-
4.0 LS2 (4.002, 4.005) bore vs. 4.08 (LS3 418) or 4.07 (LS3 416) does the LS2 having more meat between cylinders make it a whole lot better. i was also under the impression that the LS3 blocks were a little stronger. also i would imagine the 4.07 bore would be more suitable than the 4.08.
