Default How long can the hose from the solenoid to the jets be?

On a dry kit, how long can the line that runs from the nitrous solenoid to the jets be? Obviously, the shorter the better I think, but what would be too long... 1'... 18"... 2'?

For some reason, I don't think it is as big of a concern on a dry kit as it would be on a wet though...

I wouldn't think it matters. At that pressure what little that's inline after the solenoid will get out real fast. FWIW, I have a pair of 4' extensions on my 3an line to the jets. I wanted to make sure I'd have enough to hide the solenoid somewhere, but ended up with an extra 1.5' on each one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

It is not as big of a deal with a dry kit but closer the better. You will notice a difference exspecially with a four foot line. Hiding it is fun but shorter is better!!

If you do this long and do not use a purge you will have a soft hit when the nitrous kicks on.

Then again... would a softer hit in first be such a bad thing? I could play with the window pills to compensate too...

I had a nos dry kit with .036 jets, solenoids seperated one for each side, 3200 stall, underdrive pulley and bfgdrs. With no window switch just wot switch it took it all minimum wheel spin and went 1.60 in 60ft. That is with stock length hoses from the solenoids to nozzels. My new 2 stage kit I am shorting the lines to 1ft for the first stage and the solenoids will be hooked right to the nozzle on the 2nd stage. This is a wet kit NX
