Default Ls1ers spraying completely stock LS1s???

My fiancee has been bugging me to get a nitrous kit for the 00 WS6. I currently has about 50k miles and is stock except for:
exhaust cutout
removed WS6 hood baffles and K&N air filter
Spec stage 3 carbon clutch-original design

I am curious as to what all is required on a stock LS1 for the nitrous. I would like to use a WET kit over a dry kit.

All you really need is a good nitrous kit, the correct spark plugs, and some stickier tires.

I would recommend either a NX Wet Kit or a TNT F2 Kit, as well as an MSD Window Switch.

I would get a shift light to so you can hit your gears cause once you spray it it will tack up alot faster. And dont spray more than 125-150.

Stock motor here, spraying for 2 years with no troubles.
Being a M6 you should get a window switch to help preserve those pushrods, cause your gonna need it.
Non-platinum plugs--NGK tr6's
Change your fuel filter-just for good measures
clean air filter
you should be running preminum fuel ,but if not ,run it.
stay off the spray till 3000 rpm and you SHOULD be fine.
and be prepared to get tossed from the track, cause you will get into the 11's if the rear does not break. Time for a roll bar!
Being a A4 i ran a 100 shot wet and stock F1's with bolt-ons minus headers and pulled a 11.98@ 115.
Good luck
Dave

I have a 00 WS6, with a K&N FIPK, and a flowmaster cat back, and an NOS dry kit I run a 12.5 at 115 with the clutch slipping bad.... I also made 380 HP at the wheels with a 100hp dry shot. If you don't want to spring for the MSD window switch...I suggest a switch to put on your clutch pedal that will not let the NOS spray unless the clutch is completely depressed. that is what I have on mine and have had no trouble with anything so far. But as of this week I just finished a 3 month build up of my motor and also done a few other things to her....will get some new times soon hopefully...

I plan to add a TnT F1 kit to my SS too but I HAVE to swap the fuel pump and clutch disk first. I also have to drop some timing for the spray since I am running 28 degrees at WOT.

You moded your 35th??

I have a 35th vert and I don't have the heart to mod it.

But my 01 WS6 is getting a 422 stroker soon so I'm happy with that.

Juice is tight, you wont regret it. However, i found anyway, that you always need to spend a lot more than whatever the kit costs. my firend has an NX kit which we havent hooked up yet, but it looks nice. HD selenoids and what not, and its a wet kit adjustable from 75-175 or soemthing. i opted to go with a nitrous works 13080 universal efi kit. it was like 435 shipped to ramchargers. theyre supposed to be a really safe kit with the jettings that they use, cause they all run a bit more rich than an nx kit with similar setup. never had any problems. id say depending on the kit, id look for soemthing with a Fuel press. safety switch, blow down tube(so you can go to the track), and make sure you use nice relays, wires, and so on. a 5" autometer tach would be nice, cause if you hit the rev limiter on spray, your gonna mess some **** up. and as you know, the stock tach isnt all that accurate. i dont use a window switch in my car, just have the switch on my hurst T-handle. looks tight. the purge kit is always fun for show, but not needed unlesss your some hardcore racer. id just change your fuel filter and spray 100. the fuel will keep up. a walbro would be a really good idea though.

Hey Asian Ice as soon as I saw the last pic of your car I recognized the background as a Michigan location. I clicked your profile and see you in Royal Oak, I was born in Royal Oak and my family lives there still.
I prefer Florida.
My grandpa passed away yesterday, he was 88, he will be buried in the graveyard at 12 mile between Main st and Rochester on Monday.
I like your set up and keep on sprayin.

If you want a good starter kit, just for fun, get the NOS dry 5177. it is complete except for a window (which you need for your M6) and TR6 plugs . about $620 total Vs 1000+ for a safe wet kit.

AsianIce, i'm going to install the bottle there too....did you run the lines inside the car or did you drill a hole between the seats to run it under the car?

if you drilled a hole, can you tell me where u drilled it? thanks.

Slap a dry 100 shot on it and call it a day.

You don't even need to change the spark plugs but I recommend TR6's at .045.
