NOSzle Q's Anyone here run the NOSzle system on their LS1's? Just curious I was thinking about saving up the extra $$ and get a direct port N20 and I don't really want to tap my intake. Also what are the down sides to this system? Thanks for all your help in advanced. |
Re: NOSzle Q's I have a buddy with a 99 GT that has the kit installed. It has been lackluster so far. Although its possible that its install related. It hits very soft and power comes on slowly. Maybe due to the length of the fuel lines from the noid...not sure. The other thing is he has had one of the flexible nitrous lines come out of the fitting while spraying. I know we all had concerns about that when this kit came out. However, again..this may be due to the installer. For me....the jury is still out. |
Re: NOSzle Q's I have one on my 02 Z06.. I installed it myself with a current 100hp setup. it does hit very soft as compared to other setups i have done but again it is a 100 shot. i had one NOS line blow off on the initial test but have NOT had one issue since.. for me the guys who want a hard hitting system don't think of the ramifications on drive line, crankshaft, and other internal parts.. for me the softer the better... i also don't have a purge.. want it to hit harder put a purge in line, and shorten your line lengths from the solenoids. the hard hit comes with HP level.. i am going to the 175 in the near future and will post back on thoughts.... all in all it is a great system.. pricey but well worth not having to tap the hell out of the intake.. i can remove it pretty quickly for a trip to the dealer if need be.. i will tell you it is a tight install on a LS1.. no fuel rail covers anymore... Wes |
Re: NOSzle Q's Thanks for the replys guys. Sounds like their are some problems but they can't be worse than tapping the hell out of the intake. Plus I can always take it for service if I need something done. BTW where did you get yours at, I havent really found a site that sells it. |
Re: NOSzle Q's Ramchargers gave me a good price around 1450.00 i think.. plus they sell the timing computer that is real slick for the LS1... thats another 300.00 but i definitly would recomend the system.. good luck Wes |
Re: NOSzle Q's The NOSzle system should be thought of as a fogger type system. The foggers are supposed to hit soft. If you want to win drag races, buy the noszle system, however...if you want to impress your friends on how far your 10 sec ls1 can fry the tires in second gear, while getting passed by every hooking street car at your local spot, then by all means, get a single or dual nozzle system. There is a reason why foggers were designed, and its not looks or "so they hit harder". Simple fact-it is a more efficient way of distributing fuel and nitrous mixtures= more hp spraying a given amount of n20. |
