Default What's the best head for nitrous?

5.3/5.7/LS6/6.0 on a 347? Do you want lower or higher compression?

Kinda depends on the setup of the car.

Do you want to run on pump-gas? Are you prepared to buy race-gas at $6.00 per gallon? How concerned are you about streetability?

If you're looking for an off-the-shelf nitrous head you should check out Total Engine Airflow's nitrous heads. They will port you a Judson Massingil signature CNC head, then hand-finish the exhaust port for you. It seems to be a good way to go for nitrous cars.

Well, first question is "How much N2O".

Nitrous loves high compression. Pro Tuner needed for exreeme shots. IMO anything above 150 wet needs head studs.

On pump gas 93 with the proper tune, I wouldn't go over 150.

For 200>300, I would choose LS6 stage II/III depending on motor size. 10.5:1>11:1 to keep it streetable.

It'll be a street car using pump gas. I already have a set of S1 5.3 heads. Forged Diamond stock replacement pistons on the stock bottom end. I'll be using a 100 dry shot.

100 dry is equivalent to about an 80 shot wet. That is a small shot. I wouln't worry. just keep an eye on your A/F so you don't go lean. Use a FPSS in case your pump decides to crap on you, cheap insurance (Cheaper than a motor).
Also I would run TR6's gapped at 0.040.
1 step colder than stock and the smaller gap will prevent missfire with increased N2O CC pressure.
Get a window with pills for your M6. Don't want to spray between shifts.
I would start with a 50 shot, monitor AFR & Timing and increase from there.
