Pile of Junk- my beater nitrous car I'm bored so I thought I would post up a little of my latest project car. It is a 1997 30th anniversary Camaro. Started life as a v6 car. Its a hard top with manual windows/locks/trunk everything. Over the past few months I've turned it into what some may call a "sleeper". The paint is god awefully faded, and it still has the RS ground effects on it. Basically its a full LS1/t56 swap from a 98 SS car. all the harnesses were also swapped over to make it all plug and play. I also installed all the AC components for that to work properly. Long story short, the radiator sprung a leak in July and ended up overheating. So while I was checking it out I made some upgrades. All the performance parts were stuff I had laying around or i bought used accept the converter and a few other small things. Car consists of: 98 LS1 shortblock 853 heads with prc dual springs- used off last car 224/230 114lsa cam- BTR overstock score used LS6 intake Ebay Head studs used pacesetter LT's and ORY used corsa catback Frankinstein nitrous kit Fresh VA speed built TH350 FMVB- local forum score for 500 bucks FTI billet 9.5" 3600 nitrous stall (purchased new) loaner driveshaft 295/55/16 MT radials on stock wheels some pics of it (credit to my friend who has mad photoshop skills!) http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psd16e414b.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psccb83ef2.jpg Interior harness going in! http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psc51b10a4.jpg motor going together http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psac1e856b.jpg back together http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8e9c9747.jpg Interior next http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...pse92d7844.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1a62ec9f.jpg New shoes for the ride http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psd1c36308.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe57f1f6.jpg TH350 install http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psaef7e912.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps35d529fc.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...pseeb001cc.jpg Engine bay-done http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psa06e473f.jpg And some fancy pics of the the finished product http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps444d5603.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3476395c.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4340956b.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psae5b4641.jpg http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps269ab972.jpg And a little "cold" start video |
Looks like a sweet build. What size of shot are you running? |
Nice sleeper |
Salad Shooters = Sleeper Look. Nice build! "Fuck all the flash, I just want to go fast." (Rise of the Phoenix) |
Awesome car! I do like the sleeper look of keeping the factory wheels. Trey |

Made it to my buddy's shop and got the tube dialed in. 93 pump gas, pullin fuel fron the rail. .070 jet on the nitrous side and 22* of timing. This was on a dynocom eddy current dyno. As much as wanted to open flow the kit with a .99 jet i didnt want to risk blowing it up, car club has a track event tonorrow and figures id make it to that and then crank it up. http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...psce720d17.jpg |
Nice looking build. I've had my car for 6 years and besides a set of chrome zr-1s mine looks as stock as it rolled off the assembly line. Sleeper FTW!!!! |
If you're so bored, I would appreciate it if you would send the T-56 that I paid for months ago. A response would be nice as well. |
Thanks for the comment in my thread. |
nice sleeper |
Unfortunately the lack of suspension on the car kept me from a 10 sec pass yesterday, mad 4 runs total. Need to get a 2600 or 2800 pill for the window switch, cant get it to spray out of the hole the way it sits with a 3000 pill in there. Motor pass 1.78 8.11@88 12.55@109 75 shot 1.70 7.6@95 11.40@117 150 shot 1.85 7.37@100 11.27@126 150 shot 1.72 7.21@101 11.04@125 |

Nice little thread you got here. |
Got an new RPM module to get it to spray off the line, car leaves like a turd with the tight nitrous converter, and only 344hp i cant get it to flash to 3000 rpms where the window switch is set at. Going to make some test hits going down 100 rpm's at a time. http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6c56fea9.jpg I was only able to find one pic from the track event, you can see how bad the faded paint really is in this one! There is only once crappy cell phone video that was taken of the car too. http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/...ps26d56c73.jpg |
I love this thread. I need to spray my car. I have a tight nitrous converter too and the converter doesn't hit hard at all. Spray will flash it1 |

That was sent off 5 weeks ago. I sent you pics of me removing it, putting it in the crate and at fedex. Thanks for the comment in my thread though. I wouldn't need to comment in your thread if you responded to e-mails or private messages. I never received this nor pics of it crated up and at fedex...only of you attempting to remove it. Please e-mail me back or PM me so we can resolve this matter. You now have a PM with this info in case you did not already have it. Edit: Interesting that you've decided to refuse to accept private messages from me...I would really appreciate it if you would at least respond directly to me in a PM or e-mail and let me know if this was shipped to the wrong person or give me any idea why I haven't received it so we can stop doing this publicly, but I really had no choice. |
blah blah blah |
