Sprayin with a 4.56
so if 28" + 4.56 is not possible, but 4.10 and 26" et streets are ok, i am confused? esp considering i KNOW Tosto was on stock internals when he did run 10s. so how do you explain that reasoning?
i thougth you team R&J guys could do anything!
Tim made that pass once into the tens and smoked his clutch and tore up his 10 bolt! The car will still go ten's on the bottle but he's not going to be able to stay in it the whole time unless he spins the motor to 7000+rpm. And with a stock bottom in GOOD LUCK!
Plus, he is running 28 inch tall tire and did not modify his rear fender wells, on the bottle his tires my grow a lot more and cut into the fender well. I would be careful because at 130+ losing a slick = bad news.

ok lets say you trap 130 on the spray. With 4.11's and a 28" tire that would put you right at about 6500 ~ 6600 rpms, which is just about perfect. If you want to spin the motor to 7k or higher to cross the traps in 4th then by all means go for it and let us know how well it works out for you.
Honestly since you already have 4.10's I would just leave them in and see how the car acts at the track. If you absoloutly need to switch then try it and see what happens.

one of my friends buddies in St. Luie has a 12 bolt w/ 4.56, 28" slicks, clutch and 100 shot dry. he loves it and has had no trouble running that setup. yes he shifts into 5th.......so what????? I don't know why it's so hard for someone to grasp the concept of having to shift into 5th. what are u gonna lose 1mph and MAYBE a 1 or 2 hundreths of a second??? he ran a 10.99 on ONLY that setup, stock internals, stock suspention, even stock manifolds. it can be done and it is done. I'm doing it this season, can't wait.

Your wrong, They have never made a pass on the bottle with 456 gears. Plus, you think your going to be able to shift an mn6 with H/C and 150 shot our of the hole?
And the you can kiss the clutch good by spraying into 5th gear with 28 in tall slicks.

I bet your times are great spraying with 456's. All I'm saying is it is way too much gear for the bottle, on the bottle there is no need to spin a stock bottom in to 7000rpm. Your living on borrowed time!
Yeah, that’s why my 2000 Z mn6 with a cat back, lid , 150 nx kit went 11.18 on nitto's, with 342 gears.

What about with a th350 & 410's, 28" tire??????????

It kind of depends on convertor slippage, and I am aware that you have a new setup being finished but unfortunatly know very little about it all I know is that it will be a bad *** car assuming you cross the traps around lets say 7000 you should mph anywhere from 130~133 once again this can vary with different convertors.
If you get a chance shoot me an email and let me know a little about your new setup
