well damn anil i guess i was wrong. i thought time told me differently. i dont know everything, must be listening to too much Bogi out there in st louis

so if 28" + 4.56 is not possible, but 4.10 and 26" et streets are ok, i am confused? esp considering i KNOW Tosto was on stock internals when he did run 10s. so how do you explain that reasoning?

i thougth you team R&J guys could do anything!

That's right the Teamed Rigged and Jimmied own all you KC boys when it comes to track times and street racing!

Tim made that pass once into the tens and smoked his clutch and tore up his 10 bolt! The car will still go ten's on the bottle but he's not going to be able to stay in it the whole time unless he spins the motor to 7000+rpm. And with a stock bottom in GOOD LUCK!

Plus, he is running 28 inch tall tire and did not modify his rear fender wells, on the bottle his tires my grow a lot more and cut into the fender well. I would be careful because at 130+ losing a slick = bad news.

What about with a th350 & 410's, 28" tire??????????

If you want to spin the motor to 7k or higher to cross the traps in 4th then by all means go for it and let us know how well it works out for you.

Honestly since you already have 4.10's I would just leave them in and see how the car acts at the track. If you absoloutly need to switch then try it and see what happens.

I don't know why it's so hard for someone to grasp the concept of having to shift into 5th. what are u gonna lose 1mph and MAYBE a 1 or 2 hundreths of a second??? he ran a 10.99 on ONLY that setup, stock internals, stock suspention, even stock manifolds. it can be done and it is done. And the you can kiss the clutch good by spraying into 5th gear with 28 in tall slicks.

Damn, I think you guys know more about my car than I do Didn't realize my car was so famous Just to set the record straight I don't intend to make very many all out n2o passes just a few so I think the clutch, shortblock or whatever else will be fine. As far as the slicks growing hadn't thought about that one yet. Shifting the car on the bottle? Guess we will find out

I would really check the growing of the tire, most people have to cut the rear fenders(bumper Cover) so the slicks will clear, Talk to 02 COACH, he had this problem and cost him 2 brand new slicks.

Just a heads Up!

Yeah, that’s why my 2000 Z mn6 with a cat back, lid , 150 nx kit went 11.18 on nitto's, with 342 gears.

I bet your times are great spraying with 456's. All I'm saying is it is way too much gear for the bottle, on the bottle there is no need to spin a stock bottom in to 7000rpm. Your living on borrowed time!

Is there a reason why I can't shift a 6000? I am going to set the shift light at 6000 by the time I react it will probally be 6300-6600. Might even try short shifting it even more, don't see a need to spin all those rpm's on the bottle. The tourque curve doesn't really rise or fall after 5500 rpm's. Already know I will be in fifth through the traps so I don't think shift points really matter that much (at least not like they do NA). I'll have to check into this tire growing thing, thanks for the heads up.

i wouldnt shift the car at the end of hte TQ peak. i know that car peaks RWHP at around 6400-6500 rpms. i have seen it on the dyno. also i would talk to TIM about the tire rubbing, i doubt he would run 11.30s on motor with a rubbing tire at all. also you certainly dont have to shift at 7000 rpms on the bottle. that car made HUGE TQ on the bottle though! here is a pic of him lifting on motor! lol

sorry about that post everyone, I was listening to gator . no I don't proclaim to know everything about LS1s and what to do to them, but I don't ask questions to someone that does not know what they are talking about. there are some people on here that I do and do not agree with. I guess it's just an experement, don't know if I want to take that chance. The guy that has this setup in Tx, I'll be e-mailing u askin questions. I'm not worried about the clutch.....that POS has been replaced with a badass setup, thanks Futral Motorsports. maybe I need to get my car out of body/paint work first.... . I wasn't trying to argue with anyone, everyone is cool on here. sorry if u took it wrong.

I run 3.73 with my set-up and love it. I don`t know what my trap speeds will be until Sunday night when I run her at HRP. One things for sure, my Bird is Pretty Fast
