Default H/C/I Ls1 150 shot test/tune

Recently installed a Dynotune wet kit on my 2002 HCI 2002 Trans Am. First off let me say the Dynotune kit is top notch and the quality of the parts/solenoids are just about the best I've seen. My nitrous set up consists of the following:

Dynotune nozzle wet kit
Summit Brand Window Switch
WOT switch
Arming switch
Nano 3000psi kit

Now, my current set up listed below produced 455whp and 415wtq on a dynojet. This is through a stage 2 T56 tuned with HP Tuners.

2002 Ls1- 30k original miles
AI 226cc 243 heads with 63cc chambers
.040 head gaskets
TSP Torquer V2-114lsa
Vengeance ported FAST92/92
85mm MAF
Fast Toys Lid
TSP 1 3/4 LTs
SLP powerflo exhaust
3.90 Gears
FAST 36lb injectors
Racetronix pump with Hotwire harness
Water injection via Snow performance stage 2 kit

All that being said we were trying to see where the timing should be... Started to pull 4* with a 100 shot and showed no knock... Added back 2* and still no knock... Ended being able to run the 100 shot on full timing! Was between 28-28.5* in PE mode.

For the 150 shot we ended needing to pull 4* for no knock to be present and be a little safer than the 100 shot. It was nice to see that the motor liked the timing to be left in and still ran safe. Plugs look a tad on the rich side but the timing mark on the strap was spot on.

Just showing my results for everyone to see every motor is different and pulling 8* for a 150 shot isn't always necessary as the motor determined it only need 4* taken out.

100% water... Tested meth out on the dyno and it made the afr pig rich and i lost tons of power... Water showed no power loss and cools my intake charge pretty well...

Did you try adding more fuel and timing with the meth? Either way, great numbers.

Very nice! You gonna throw it on the dyno and see what it makes on spray?

Yes, we had to lean the tune wayyyyyy out in order to get the AFR but in the 12.5-13.0 range... Even adding timing didnt make more power... It was just an experiment to see how the meth would effect an NA motor... Needless to say, 100% is the way to go...

Yes, I eventually will. Being that the tune is pretty spot on its not a huge priority since I know it should be about 150whp more than NA lol

Why are you tuning using the knock sensor? I assume this was all done on the dyno too? If it was, you are going to be in a world of hurt if you run it at the track like that.

We were reading plugs as well as watching for knock on HP tuners. And this was done on the street, not the dyno.

Ok, just making sure you weren't relying on the knock sensors alone.

Another little tidbit, don't look for timing on the strap. Every motor likes something different. Timing and fuel go hand in hand. You can pull those 8 degrees like you said but lean it out and get a better, safer result.
