Default Running out of pump??

01 T/A with some AFR 205s, 230/232 cam, stock LS6 intake and TB....Red top injectors. Been running it on motor for a while now with no problems. Added 100 shot through a nozzle with some NOS noids that i've had sitting around and I can't get the Air/Fuel right. It has a stock fuel pump. Sprayed it with the recommended 100 jets and it was lean. Upped the fuel jet some. Lean. Upped it even more. Still lean. It will be OK down low but at high RPM it goes lean like it's running out of fuel. Even put 50 shot jets in it and it's still needing a bigger fuel pill Am I just at the limit of this stock pump or is there another problem I need to look at?

Wet shot or dry?

Either way, you really need some 42's for that even on just motor. My 42's were at 77% in the Camaro. You've GOTTA be maxing those red tops.

Wet shot. Injectors are at about 90% duty cycle

i would say its the stock fuel pump. I have seen heads and cam cars run out of fuel on stock pump before.

Should have put that in my original post as well: definitely get the Racetronix kit with the Hotwire upgrade. The stock FP will taper off a bit at WOT, and if you're pulling your shot from the fuel rail... You see where I'm going with this.

Pull plugs and make sure nothing's hurt.

A H/C nitrous car will need a 255 pump AND bigger injectors like stated. You will need a tune for the injectors.

A racetronix can usually take 600+/- hp. Get a standalone if you decide to spray 200+ in the future.

Nothing is hurt. Every time it went remotely lean on the wideband I shut it down. Would it be ok without doing the hotwire harness and just dropping in a 255 pump? The red tops are getting the job done for now (90% duty cycle).

Don't skimp on that. It's 49 bucks, and WELL WORTH it. The pump requires more voltage. Look to WS6store for the best price...

A hotwire harness and 255 pump should work.

Aren't red tops only 30lbs? (not much over stock)

90% duty cycle is a little high for my taste.

Needs more pump! You could also add a safe tank specifically for the nitrous system as well.

I want to say red tops are 36lbs--I have the 255 and hotwire on my car AND a stand alone fuel system on my car lol--(this thread is about my dad's T/A) I was asking about not doing the hotwire kit because my friend has a 255 pump he is giving me and I was just going to throw that in and be done with it

Update-- Car was DEFINITELY out of pump, lol. Installed a 340 pump and now it's rich on motor!!! So the car needed more pump even on motor and we were trying to spray it.. Getting the motor tune fixed then going to spray it!

Which 340 did you go with, if you don't mind me asking?
