Question Just wrapping up nitrous install, couple ??s

So, Ive got a 93 Z lt1 stock block, heads, cam, pacesetter lts, full bolt ons and I installed an old compucar wet nitrous system ive had sitting around. Its got 100 hp jets and my setup is very basic but I added a wot switch and a summit window switch. My questions are:
1) I have an edge 3600 stall w/ 323 gears, where should I set the on / off for the window switch?
2) can I run that shot successfully with only changing my plugs to br7s and not pulling 4 deg of timing?
3) if I do have to get a nitrous tune, seeing my car still has a prom I should be able to get 2 chips burned and switch them when im gonna spray right?
Sorry for all the questions but nitrous makes me a lil nervous cuz I'm new to it and don't wanna blow up my car because of an oversight.
Comments and criticism welcomed... Thanks guys

I would set window switch a 3500 to 6k. You could probly get away without pulling timing. I would recommend pulling atleast 2 degrees. Why risk the motor. I would also get a 255 fuel pump. As far as 2 chips im not sure. Ive never missed with 93 cars. I sprayed my bolton car with 150 shot for few years. Its fun and addictive. Good luck.

Ok gotcha, yea I'm doing the walbro 255. You're right with the timing, I just didn't wanna be driving all the time with the timing retarded, figured the car wouldn't run all that great on the street when I wasn't spraying. Happy to see you sprayed yours for so long at least now I know if it's done right it's not a ticking time bomb....

I read in a different thread that there is something you can wire in to advance your timing back to normal when your not going to use nitrous

Like mentioned above, I would pull timing. You could get away with not changing plugs although it's best if you do.

The "wiring trick" is mainly for LS style engines I thought. It's the IAT sensor trick.

I would also set set your window switch 3000 or a little higher (Whatever works best for your setup.. Sooner the better) to a couple hundred rpms higher than you plan to shift. I say this because, lets say you set it to 3000-6000. If you shift at 6100 rpm, you will be out of your "window" and it doesn't matter if you shift and drop back to 4900rpm. The window switch will not allow spray again until it has been re-armed.

thx guys, I'm picking up a 20lb bottle tonight , gonna throw a fpss in the mix as well as look for a used bottle heater. spoke with pcm of nc who told me they can burn 2 piggyback proms ( street tune / nitrous tune -4 degrees ) and I can just switch whenever I want. which plugs and gap do you all recommend? can't wait til winter is over, I really cant wait to spray this thing, don't know what to expect, but I bet its gonna be fun!
