Default What's it take to go From 10.00 to 9.50s 1/4

Currently running 10.003 @135mph with a 1.4 60ft on a 200 shot at 3400 race weight how much more nitrous would I need to run 9.50s I know I need to better the 60ft and I just put a sux2bu ram air in on the car mite help a bit

It's a 6.0 forged bottom built to hold 300+ shot

At minimum I'd say 300hp should get you close but you might end up needing to go with 350hp or more. It's really hard to give to that " here is exactly what you'll need answer ".

Oh ok thanks I want to try and get the most out of the 200 hit and see still gotta get the 60ft down a bit and lean it out a bit more hoping to go 9.8-9.9 with better weather and better 60ft on the same shot

Some times more power does not mean much faster even when hooked. Example..

10.60 NA
175 hit I go 9.38
300 hit I go 9.24
400 hit I go 9.20

But if you watch my verter slip, it gets worse as I add power to it. Sometimes combos need to be adjusted for the added power.

So If you tighten up the converter for the extra nitrous would be slower n/a but I bet you'd pick up big time on the jug

I have a 4l60 and its shifting into 4th before the end of the 1/4 mile with the 200 hit I mite need to switch to 28 tall tire then huh I'm currently running a 275/50/15 out back do you guys think the 28 will gain any? Or just leave the 26 my goal with it is to be a bad *** and as fast as possible street strip car I would really like to run mid 9s when it's all set and done ***** out

I will be pulling it out this winter and having it tightened up. Gotta start somewhere.

Ur 60ft is what's ur problem. My car goes 1.27 60s and I go 9.8s @ 134.

Yea I'm working on it as we speak just in stalled a umi drag bar and umi k member now I gotta go test and hope for the best my goal is 9.50s so just with the 60ft I can get it close without adding power then if I have to il turn it up a bit

The drag bar is the first mod I wish I would have put on my car. Took the 60' from 1.50 to 1.35 on nitrous. My car was heavy also. Around 3500# with me in it. You should see 9.70s on the 200 shot. A 300 hit would get you to .50s easy.

more tire def help. mine is a ls3 c6 with 2.56 gear and 6l80. with 28x11.5 qtp. i was shifting to 4th with a 26. i figured it would 60 slower with a big tire but get that shift out. it gained .05-.07 on the 60 and knocked down my et about .2 . running 9.73@143 with a 1.43 60'

How far have you guys pushed a racetronix pump with hot wire kit ? It's been hit with 200 on my head cam car woundering if a 250 is too much? Currently running 10.00 @135 on a 3350lbs race weight car any help didn't want to start a new thread

Well guys I went to the track last nite and made one motor pass picked .3 tenths and 4mph and bettered the 60ft by .1 this was after adding a umi drag bar umi k member and sux2bu ram air we also had better weather


Turned the kit on with a 200 and disintegrated the 10 bolt I went 1.4 60ft 10.00 @135 last time out guess it wasn't having it tonight
