Default Dual stage 600hp shot....roll racer........

If it can't be done, fine, just say this is a bad idea......lol

But...if I want to build a semi-aggressive N/A engine at about the 550/600 RWHP level. Then spray a dual stage 600 shot (300/300).......what engine is going to stay together and handle it for a decent amount of time.

Roll races ONLY.....40/50mph - 160/180mph runs.

Iron block LQ9....
Iron LSX
Aluminum re-sleeved LS2
Even a RED sleeved iron block......LQ9 with sleeves or LSX with sleeves

Me and a friend want to build this engine.....

.

I think for those goals, you need to go iron block for sure. As far as the internals go, I'd talk to one of the vendors. It's going to be expensive though. You're also going to need a damn good/spot on tune to keep it all together. I like where you're going with it though.

When on the street doing a roll race.....or a dig race......when does he hit the 500 shot?

Sounds like you're talking about me lol , You can do it but you need LSX block with upgraded bolts to 1/2 inch , strong bottom end .

I knew there was someone else as nuts as me....lol

I'll have to jump on a FlyDubai flight and visit your race shop in Kuwait. Or wait till my boss needs to fly there. I stay at the Movenpick in Salmiya when I go to Kuwait.
I posted in the other thread........I work in Dubai. I lived at the Movenpick in Salmiya for all of 2014. I was Mohamed Alshayas private jet pilot.....

And yes....I think LSX 6-bolt block and heads. Steve at RED said if I want to really make a bullet proof engine.....put his Darton sleeves in the iron LSX block.

Just throwing it out there... But wouldn't a large single be a much better choice here?

I'd think it'd be easier on everything and pull harder up top.

Just a thought, not trying to change your mind.... Just strict roll race and that power it screams large single turbo to me.

Imo that's kind of impractical. Why not do a big single turbo and use a 100 shot for low end and spool? You might not even make it to 160 before you drain a bottle.

Ramping in a big single kit will make the tune much simpler, and when you're spraying that much the tune better be spot on. IMO the LSX block is the way to go on a build like that-

If I were to try to run that much, I'd have 2 dry direct port systems and the Holley Dominator to run everything. Trying to do that on a factory computer is going to be tough.

Does the Holley Dominator automatically add more fuel/flow less fuel based on what the ECU is seeing? I guess what I'm trying to say is does the Holley Dominator basically do the tuning on the fly so to speak?

Yes it will "self learn" the tune but it would go a little deeper than that. It has a number of outputs that you can use to do stuff just like this. You can set it up so that when the 2nd system comes on, it automatically knows to adjust fueling and timing ahead of time from there, we can let the system fine tune the fueling. You wouldn't want to just fire another system at it and make it adjust on its own as when it is in closed loop, it is adjusting to events that have already happened.
