Default 1 range colder plugs after tune, any issues?

I had my car tuned with NGK TR6 (I thought it had BR7EF in there) , 150 shot pulling 4 degrees. The tune is on the rich side 21/69 jets, nowhere near knock. I will ike to replace them with BR7EF as is what is recommended. Any concerns or things I should be monitoring? Do I need to pull or add timing? Should I just run the TR6s? Thanks in advance.

I had the tr6 and switched to the br7 with no issues or re-tuning. 21/69 jets and it runs rich...what system is it?

The car was tuned by Mike Murillo and Scott Taylor's shop. I asked for a safe 150 shot tune. Those are the numbers they gave me unless I heard wrong. The car jumped from 447whp on motor to 540 on the shot, Mustang dyno.

93 hp on a 150 shot is definitely a bit low. How's the afr and timing?

They pulled 4 degrees, I haven't shot any nitrous yet so I have no idea about AFR. I will pull the jets tomorrow and verify them.

Your timing looks pretty normal. I'm curious on the AFR since your gain on the 150 shot is really low. It could be due to something else maybe, but AFR is always a good place to start. The BR7 is a wise choice regardless.

I appreciate the help. I will look into it. I think it could have something to do with the progressive being on when they did the pull. They didn't know it was on. lol

Glad to help man. Yeah I guess it's possible that the progressive unit is messing something up. Who knows. I know my LNC unit was causing a massive lean spike because I forgot to set the timing retard rate dial to zero. It had about a one second delay before it pulled any timing. Btw, just for reference I gapped my BR7's at .030 on the 150 shot. Doesn't have to be exactly that as long as it's somewhat close.

My LNC200 was at zero, we did verify that. I will check the settings on the progressive to see if there is something there. Thanks again.

Yeah as HCI said, you shouldn't have any problems going to BR7's. IMO they are are a lot safer than the TR6's.

You said the tune up is on the rich side? How rich? I am still surprised how many shops out there think that rich is safe on the dope...it's not.

I am not sure. I think he was referring to psi maybe.
