Using TCS/ASR For timing??
Nitrous will be activated via ground circuit so that will also ground R53.
So you will be doing exactly what the OP is asking about.
James Short devised this idea and its impossible to get a response from him on how well it works and if he's still using this method for nitrous cars.
I was hoping others on here were using it as well and how they liked it.
I do have the LNC 2000 box sitting in a box, but hate the amount of wiring laying in there. Whereas if the PCM can control it, no need for the LNC box and loads of wiring. Also, by default, the more computers you have, the more probable a failure somewhere.
The biggest downside to using the TCS tables is that you only get a single row. You DO get to change the amount of timing retard by RPM, though.
Using the IAT method, you can build a box that allows you to adjust the amount of timing pulled for different jettings without opening the tune back up.
For the most part, the car will only be seeing a 150 shot. But if I do change jetting, it's only and 18 sec load time.
