11:1 cr and a 50 or 100 shot.
 
OK I have stage 2 5.3 heads that have been milled .020. For a final CR of 11:1. I am looking at shooting a 50 or 100 shot to it. I can now run 32degrees of timing and get no NR. Seems weird but its true. My question is can I safely run a 50 or even a 100 shot. And stay on pump gas 93 or 94 octane. With say 24 degrees of timing. I have a Walbro 340 pump, will be running a dry shot, and tuning with LS1 Edit.

Is anyone running that kind od CR and shooting on pump gas?

Thoughts are great. I would also like to hear from people who are actually doing it.

WHat kind of HP are you making now all motor? The only thing I didnt see mentioned was what injectors you have. Dont forget if its a dry shot...injector has to be capable of handling the TOTAL HP the car will put down. On 99 or 00 I would say 460-475 rwhp is about the max. on 98, 01, and 02 you can probably go to 500 rwhp. Yes many have gone higher...I just dont recomend it.

Your compression ratio is just fine. I would back off from the 32 degrees though. I think you would be fine at 27 degrees and the 100 shot on pump gas no problem.

Thanks fo rthe info.. I'm running the timing at 25 now there is only a 2 hp gain from 25 to 32 degrees in timing. I didn't see any reason to keep it that high. Nor do I know why I'm not seeing any knock at 32. But that another story.

Injectors are 30lb svo injectors and I'm running a 340 pump. I should be ok on fuel. I hope it make 400 now but It should make 430 or so on motor. I'm trying to work the bugs out now. So figure 530 with the 100 shot.
