NGK-TR6 V-Power plugs
 

My friend bought me 8 NGK-TR6 V-Power plugs for xmas in preparation for my nitrous. Is this what I need? I was looking on nitrousoutlet.com and their TR6 plug does not have the V grove in top of the spark location. http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/images....product&id=164

How much are you spraying?

No more than 150 shot when I get it hooked up.

Regular TR6s should take you well into the 150 range, im not sure why you need them :huh:

what should they be gapped at?

.035 is what I gapped mine at when I had a 150 wet shot on mine, worked awesome. They work good in my cobra as well on/off the n20.

Ok what I am asking is, will the V-Power NGK-TR6 plugs work? I'm not asking if the NGK-TR6 without mentioning "V-Power" plugs will work, I already know that. Basically, I want to know if by when people say "NGK-TR6 plugs" there is an assumed "V-Power" in there that is left out.

what you have is a TR6...that may be a TR6IX.. basically an iridium plug witht eh same heat range

It doesn't say iradium on the package anywhere. NGK-TR6 V-Power, and item #4177.

Well here's the deal with me. I've been through several sets of TR-6s from various sponsors and they have all been V-Power. I never even knew that there was a regular non V-Power TR-6 until I saw this thread. I've been using the V-powers for over two years now with no issues so I would say that they work just fine. :)

Also if you go look at the NGK website you will see that the V-power plugs are not Iridiums. The V groove helps reduce spark blow out which is even better for a nitrous car. The picture you have above from dave's site looks like a regular NGK platnium plug.

So I would say that your buddy got you exacly what you need.

You have the CORRECT stuff. The picture you showed looked like an iridium
