Thumbs up NEW window switch from FJO.

Ok NX is about to release a new window switch from FJO to the public. What makes this unit special is:
Dual window switch,
TPS switch,
Transbrake input,
Computer programmd now dials or buttons. The window switch can be configured to be on or off at the window settings.
Also each window switch can be upgraded to a progressive unit. So now you can have dual stage progressive contols.

This unit can be programmed to work on any vehicle include the viper and 3 cylinders.

Right now we have units that are being final tested for real world input. Trying to make sure the instruction read clearly, the install and setups go smoothly.
Retail pricing on the base unit under 200.00.
And The progressive driver will be under 100.00

I have one of these that is going on a customers car right now at Rev Xtreme in Tampa. Its one trick piece! Very very small and compact. Excellent instuctions with full color wiring diagram. All weather pack connectors. PC programmable. Input for transbrake, Adjustable built in TPS switch. Basically everything you need in one small unit.

In its basic configuration with just the dual window switch you would set it up to control two sets of noids to come on at whatever rpm you set for each stage. Very similair to the way I have been setting up these nitrous kits locally. So you would have say.....first stage with a 100 shot coming on at 3000 rpm...followed by the second stage coming on at say...4800 rpm with another 75 shot. In this way you save wear and tear on the bottom end as well as make the power come on much more evenly. Everyone here knows I am a big fan of multiple stages on street cars. This is much prefered over a single stage larger shot.

If you add a solinoid driver and check the box in the software that a driver is present on a stage...it opens up a few more boxes to adjust ramp time. You then set what rpm you want the stage to activate....and ramp time, along with adjustabale Pulse width frequency (for different type noids).
This is how we will be installing our kit on our customers car.
So the first stage on out test car will be setup with the on/off configuration with a dry shot of approx 125-150 hp to come on at 3000 rpm. We are doing this to enable the auto timing retard via the PCM programming using the dry shot. The second stage will be configured to be progressive and will control an NX EFI 800001 direct port kit from 200-500 shot. We will likely run a 200-250 shot on this stage and bring it in with traction at the track....maybe 2-3 seconds. I expect to begin bringing it in around 4200 since the ramp starts at 0 hp and works up to 100% (250hp ). Both stages will shut off at the set rpm.

It appears activating the ramp in this manner will help in the lower gears since ramp time is constant but time through the lower gears is quicker than say third or fourth where it will have time to ramp to 100%. Basically we will just have to try it at the track and on the dyno. But it looks very promising.

I am amazed at the prices as well. Especially if you were to just buy the two stage switch and use it without a solinod driver as a dual window switch. If you figure the cost of the way I have been doing it in the past with two MSD window switches, 4 sets of pills, TPS switch, etc...you will actually save a few bucks with the FJO/NX switch. Plus you get the benifit of a very small controller that is much more configurable and has a transbrake input and built in adjustable TPS. As well as the fact that is upgradable to progressive for another $100.

OUTSTANDING NX/FJO!!!

Dyno tests and track times to follow.

so in basic trim could you use it to set your fuel noid at 2800 and your N20 at 3000 to get rid of any lean spikes?

Actually...yes you could do that. As a matter of fact..the rpm steps are in "PER RPM". Not in 100 rpm increments like we are so used to seeing that we dont think beyond that. If you want your fule noid on at 3000...you could have the nitrous noid come on at 3079...or 3122...or 3218...or whatever works. If you did this though you would be limited to basically one stage total.

It also has a drop down box to select the correct rpm multiplier. It can even be configured to run 3 cylinder engines or 10 cylinder. LS1s use the 4 cylinder mode which I belive on this is the /2 setting.

If you had something like the NX SX2 direct port intended for dual stage direct port....you could purchase two contollers alone for high $300's and run both stages with fuel offset controlled by rpm...how cool would that be

I can think of lots of things to do with this little setup.

Am I reading right that your talking about a new dual window switch which has an add-on progressive controller, and its under $300? Or is the pro-con not a separate piece all together?
I would like to run a two stage, 1st at WOT Launch like normal and second stage delayed 1.5sec or so, whatcha got?

Sweet, sounds like this will do what I need a RPM controller to do! I just hope the price is at or under $200! Let me know when you guys sell em, I want one!

CAT..you would buy the controller (less than $200) and one solinoid driver (less than $100)...then configure the seocnd stage for the progressive and hook up the noid driver to that stage. You can then set ramp time in tenths of a second increments. Ramp starts at 0 and goes to 100% in the ramp time you set. Its pretty neat

And yeah..I was blown away buy the cost as well.

It does not have first gear lock out. But if you set the ramp time up right on the first or second stage...you will be through first gear and on to some better traction before it has a chance to come on.

When and where can I buy? I think it fits the bill for a welcome home gift from myself to myself, since the wife is buying my new engine

I agree it fits the bill...actually it fits more than one bill. To be honest...If I didnt already buy the NX Maximizer from Nitro Dave I would have gotten this unit due to its simplicity and cost.

Maybe Ricky will chime back in when these are going to be available...or possibly give Nitro Dave a call...he usually knows the whats and whens in this business.

Kind of weird that NX would be advertising a competitive product to their own? I guess they have some connections though since the Max uses FJO Wideband huh? Oh well, off to pm land to hit Dave up.....again!
