Default Anyone wired their heater w/o relay?

I hate the stupid relay that came with my NOS bottle heater. It only lets my pressure get up to like 950 psi. Not enought with a dry shot. Anyone have a quick diagram of how to bypass it? Looks like I could just run one wire to switched power and one to ground right? Can't get the switch to work though. Any input would be appreciated

Relay has nothing to do with when it cuts off. Do you have the automatic heater or the thermostat one?

I have the thermostat style NOS heater. I guess I need to buy a pressure regulated switch thanks.

its not the relay, all you have to do is bypass the thermostat that is basically your ground . but you need to pay real good attention to what your pressure gets to and dont leave it on and walk away

The NOS heater is actually pretty good, 300watts compared to NX's 240watts. It will heat bottle in about 80% of the time a NX will heat. You can also change out the 85* thermastats with 95*. I did this and bottle pressure is now 1150. also, with an electrical thermastat you know when bottle won't heat past 600/800psi (10lb/15lb bottle) you have about three pounds n2o left. No way to know on a mech type transducer, without wieghing. I have a NX transducer if interested.

Ouch 1100 psi switch? I hope the hysteresis is low on it.

I think I'll try to wire w/o the relay and keep an eye on my bottle pressure so it doesn't get over 1150 psi or so.

You want to keep the relay, but omit the transducer, which is electro/mech or electro/electro.
