Default Want to purge only when system is armed - NX switch panel gurus step inside

I have a C5 with the NX switch panel mounted in the ashtray. The only problem with it is if the lid closes too far it will push the purge button. I want to make the purge work only when the system is armed. How do I wire it? Thanks in advance, Craig

Sorry, I don't get it. Are you saying take the power off the purge switch and run it to the arm switch? Which pole do I connect it to? Fron the NX diagram for the switch panel I would connect #3 of the purge switch and connect to #3 on the arm switch.

Run the +12v for the purge switch from the switched wire on the 'arming' switch (instead of running 12v to the purge, run its power from the arming switch's on/off wire).

Make sense ?

I have a 2001 Vette and am doing the same thing, NX Switch Panel. I hope I don'r run into the same thing...

I wonder if there is a way to make the door not hit?

I have not seen this on my C5, but I added an arm switch to my setup for peace of mind on the bottle heater. Call me paranoid, but I wanted that extra "step" to keep everything off when I was not using it.

My purge switch is "on" when I push the top of the switch. I know my cover is not even close there, but the bottom area of the switch could be press if the "on" was there instead.

Go to NX websit and check out their schematics on wiring, they worked great for me. As to your question, like said already, tap +12V from the arming switch.

Take a look at this.. Notice the hot wire connecting the purge switch to the arming switch
