Default Seperate fuel systems an the single male.

So here I am, back in the house after some more assembly work, thinking about how i am going to run the nitrous setup on the new car. First off , it's a carbed 383 and it is built to run on pump gas. Engine alone makes 422hp/468tq. HOWEVER, I built it to be hit with 200-250hp of nitrous and I know that much will need race gas.

My question is, since I am running a dedicated fuel system and cell for the nitrous, can I run 110 leaded in the nitrous system, and be safe when it hit it? Or will my 93 dilute the race gas and still cause problems? I'm jsut trying to make this as damage free as I can before i test it out, becasue we DO get nice 50 degree days in Ohio occasinally during winter

Any help is appreiciated!

The inlet charge from the 115 and nitrous will be so quick, there is very little chance of any dilution. Verify the fuel output from the standalone and have fun

We set up most of our dedicated systems with 116 and the stock tank with 93.It works great.

Also how critical is the solenoid mouting distance from the outlet to the plate? I guess that right by the plate is ideal but this car's goal is sort of a "stock appearance" if you know what I mean. So my solenoids will be mounted 24", give or take, from the plate. Any disadvantages to this?

Are Edelbrocks comparable solenoids any better or worse than NOS Cheaters?

I've seen your fuel set-ups but what elese do you need to be able to flip a switch and change from stock tank to fuel cell?? I have been thinking of buying your kit that mounts where the batt. is. but I need more info. pm me!

the dedicated fuel system just supplies the fuel for nitrous enrichment,ie only when you spray

Does running 116 in the seperate fuel system reduce the chance of a intake backfire explosion if running a single/dual nozzle?

116 being harder to ignite...

mr2guru-it wont really decrease the chance of a backfire, just lets you run good gas when you spray = more resistance to detonation
