The only thing i have done is the lid. didnt wanna pussy around with little mods, but i do wanna get some safe h/p. i wil be getting headers soon also. my car also had the 3.23 axle option, so i think it will be pretty quick for a stocker n02 car.

well first off "little" mods are what get you the optimal results. to me why spray a stock car and run like what 12.50s? when you could have a complete bolton car running high 11s low 12s(look in my sig). I wouldnt consider that pussying around. Doesnt make much sense to me to spray and run 12.50s when you can have a bolton car run just as fast if not faster. just my opinion

I hate to beat a dead horse but a 150 shot wet you might want to upgrade that pump.

Yo udon't think he'd need an upgraded fuel pump if he went with a 150 shot wet or dry?

FloridaZ 12-04-2005 03:50 PM

Many people have run without one. Myself included. Sure it would probably be a good precaution. 150 is definatly the max without one. I trust my FPSS.

1badA3Z 12-04-2005 05:07 PM

150 is max,but to be safe i would change fuel pumps, jmo

I ask cause I am going to get a 150hp dry shot soon and I heard a while back that I needed to upgrade my fuel pump. I figured if that was the case (since it would be such a pain in the ass) that I'd just put smaller jets in till I could afford to do the pump upgrade. But if I can get away with the 150hp shot.........balls to the wall baby.

1badA3Z 12-04-2005 06:24 PM

ha ha i hear ya,goodluck with it just keep a check on ur plugs and supporting equipment, thats the life of the kit and ur motor

im pretty set on getting a wet system. from what i have researched 150 is a lot for a dry shot with a stock system. and the dammage that running lean is often severe. in my humble opinion a wet shot is worth the money

I hope Robert chimes in! I was talking to him about this exact same subject a few months back because I have been wanting a 150hp system for a while. Originally I wanted a wet system. He said that dry is better. He is the guru and can speak educatingly about this subject, and I can't so I'm not going to try!

Robert? Can you chime in here?

00Vette 12-04-2005 10:03 PM

Don't get me wrong camaroextra, I'm sure they both have there ups and downs and I'm not trying to sway you from the wet system. I just want Robert to explain why the dry system is better! I forgot. :bomb:

no no by all means, i only have a basic understanding of n02 systems, i would really like to hear from an expert. none of my friends spray so all my info comes off of this site, car mags, etc

99Zcamaro 12-04-2005 11:15 PM

Im spraying 150 wet all day every day too and i have yet to see a problem...i tried the 100 just wasnt enough...and now the 150 isnt so im gonna go 200...good luck camaroextra

mrr23 12-05-2005 12:30 AM

i used a wet 200 motor rated (143 rwhp) on my 00 formula with only a SLP airlid. went 11.97 @ 117 with a 11.99 next pass. auto 3.23 gears. all stock fuel system as well.
