What Switches

How many switches are you guys using?

I'm going to try something, but i don't want to make some extra holes i wont need..

So far i have thought of the most common:

Master Arm
Purge
"WOT" Arm
"Toggle" Arm
Heater

anything else?

Don't forget the flux-capacitor onoff switch

Beer99C5 12-20-2005 10:03 PM

Bottle Opener

Toggle Arm and Master Arm seem redundant.

i got the flux switch on the ashtray...........................

WOT ARM = always on
Toggle ARM = triggered only when needed by a "in hand" button. (FnF style)

does that makes sense?

I would like to leave a Master arm, just to arm every 12v line that feeds all the other switches..

left to right
1.) Purge
2.) Main power, solenoid opener, gauge power, and window switch power.
3.) Boosta pump (future use) and heater enable
4.) Main arming, used with go pedal switch.

I really like that setup, nice job :)

I personally like the NX switch kit. I've had mine for five years now and they still work perfectly.
switch #1 controls arming and the bottle heater
switch #2 controls the purge
switch #3 controls opens and closes the bottle
My throttle position switch is on the throttle body.

Dont have any pics but I have a heater, master arm, purge, and linelock switch

Does anyone know if you can use the Nitrous arm switch to power the momentary purge button or is this not a good Idea? I have the Jimmy Jams switch panel with 4 rocker switches plus the momentary purge button and I'd like to use them like this; 1 for Arm/Purge on-off, 1 for bottle heater on-off, 1 for bottle opener, and the 4th for line lock arm. Any reason why I shouldnt do it this way?

I have no idea, since I haven't used a purge before, but I think once the system is armed all the solenoids are live. So therefore the purge would be on with teh master arm, and then you push the purge button.
Like I said, I have no idea.

Thanks for the reply! I would imagine you could make it work like I said if you wired the puge solinoid positive lead to the nitrous arm switch and the ground lead to the momentary push button.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the purge switch is activating a relay and not the solenoid.

Nitrous direct, thanks :chug:

I bought my CFN kit used and only got one relay for the nitrous and fuel solinoids, you mean you cant run a purge solinoid directly from the switch like you do with a line-lock solinoid? The purge is only used in short intervals anyway.
