Question New N.O.S. Kit:5168NOS Any thoughts?

Like it says. Its a new Wet kit. P/N:5168NOS Seems pretty decent. I'm new to N2O and was thinking of getting it to start off with. Any thoughts from you vets out there?

NOS has always had good stuff. The 5168 is the new plate system for the ls1, and would be my choice if going plate, a very trick piece. Please consider looking at the NItrous Direct site (link in sig). If you have any question on any kit or wet/dry, just pm me would be glad to help, no matter what ever brand you choose.

i second what Robert said

saying that you've never heard anything positive about one of the largest nitrous companies seems very, um...wrong

I have the NX kit 20920, Its a single nozzle and I love it. You can goto Nitro Daves Nitrous Outlet for that, I have also just ordered the New 05168NOS kit and I am very excited about it. The reviews on the kit in the new GM high tech performance are promising.

Got to mention one thing about Nitrous Direct too, The product in my opinion looks Outstanding and the prices are amazing for the size of noids included.

Do i need to plug any one else while i am at it?

We carry the NOS plate system and our plate system. Make sure to check both of these out also. I can help you with either one. I think you will find that none of the plate systems compare to our desighn. Just my opinion ofcourse.

They did an install of that kit in Feb. GMHTP. This is supposed to be the first NOS kit to rated at the wheel hp improvement. I guess in the past they have been flywheel rates. The jets in the ring are designed to prevent puddling in the intake which is a plus in my book.

I don't know about the other products mentioned in this thread.

Sorry, at this time we only have the 90mm plate system, and what'a deal. Look for more products soon.
Thanks for checking us out, though.

installed this kit myself .. i've instealled about 4 kits on various cars. this was by far the easiest and most awsome kit i've ever installed. on my C5 it's completly hidden away under the fuel rail covers as per the instructions tell you. my biggest peeve was the driver side cover dosen't snap on 100% but it's barley noticable and i'm going to look at it a little further and see if i can get it to work.

as far as functionality i'd prefer it with a window switch instead of the WOT if you go with anything bigger than 125. along those same lines a purge would be a nice addition also. i was very impressed with this kit, both fitment .. installation and performance.

With the 5168 jetted for a 150, we gained 172 to the wheels, corrected.(at EastSide) We are running the TRex and a 4000 stall nitrous converter with a 9inch. Two thumbs up or this kit. Both quality and performance.

I ahve the 5168 kit, very clean install, and made a world of difference over my 5177 dry kit, overall 4 tenths and 5mph in the 1000ft, so ya it works good!

I dont prefer NOS but they have some decent stuff. My choice would be Nitro Daves plate kit.

PS Do yourself a favor, whatever kit you decide on, upgrade your fuel pump while your at it. Your motor will thank you.

I'm personally running this kit but for a 90mm TB and am very pleased with it. A friend is running the same kit but for a stock TB. With it jetted for a 100 shot it picked up 132 RWHP. The kit is awesome. If I had to pick a kit it would either be a NOS kit or a Nitro Dave's kit. Just my .02......

Quick Reply: New N.O.S. Kit:5168NOS Any thoughts?
