Default DP/Dual Stage Questions!

Ok...so the car is a 2000 T/A stock bottom end, LTs, XPipe, LS6 Intake, TSP 233/239 cam...

What is the smallest shot you can run on an NX DP kit?

I want to run my current wet shot at 75hp out the hole and then put another 150DP on top of that (progressive).

Do you think with GOOD tuning the motor will take it? I have a fuel pump on the way and I think that should take care of that.

I know people have put 225 on stock bottom ends before...I guess I am just looking for reassurance!!

Could I do 100/100? I have heard DP is hard to control at low shot size...true?

What plugs would I have to go to? I run TR6s now...

I will post more questions as I think of them!

There is auy thta has been running his NX dp at 80rwhp shot with no issues. I plan on doing a smallish dp as my 3rd stage, and think it will be fine. Good filtering is needed with these small jets. I would stay away myself under 100/125 though.

Good filtering? Like a nitrous filter or what?

Yes, nitrous and fuel, close to noids, imo, so you'll pick up everything including debri from lines and fittings after normal filter locations. the bronze sintered type n2o filters are better than the screen type. also clean out all lines well before hooking up. Ask Al (383lq4ss), he had some issues in this regard.

Why not progress both stages. 150 is no problem as far as the hp goes.

YOu think the stock bottom end will take 225?

And both stages would be progressive!

I think if the tune where right and you used race gas it would take it for some time. Im guessing youll be around 625 rwhp total?

If this is your daily driver I would recomend against it though. Its tough to say what might happen. And if your gonna reach for the big #s you need to be prepared for a new motor at any time IMO.
