dual .052's nos 5177

Any idea what kind or rwhp this is doing for me? Thanks

As per how NOS does it, dual .052's are 200 at crank, or about 170rwhp.

After reviewing the Colonel's chart in FAQ, and gathering info from Holley, Nitro Dave, NX and ND, I've settled on the following dual dry jet fwhp ratings for my 11.5:1, 346, w/bottle pressure at 950 psi (for now);

32 = 100
36 = 125
40 = 150
46 = 175
52 = 200
58 = 225
64 = 250

I've have dyno'd my car with dual 36's, and it made 100 rwhp, which converts to ~125 fwhp, and Robert56 agrees with the 52=200 point, so at least these should be ballpark. However, the hp curve should not be linear like this.

Lean that bad boy out, should be closer to 125rwhp with those jets.

My 5177 maxed out at about 150 rwhp. That is with NO jets in it. Those little solenoids just won't flow enough to make much more than that.

That's why I just changed to dual cheater noids (NOS Part #16000), because they will flow 300 or more hp.

Or, split your power shot noids up, one to each nozzle, then the 5177 can do a 300hp shot, and dual stage it while your at it. I showed some specifics on doing this in a thread a while back.:)

Yea, we looked at splitting them, but we liked the safety in the redundancy.

Yea, I liked the redundant noids also, so just ran two 5177's for dual stage. But will be changing over to the 400hp Pro noids from Nitrous Direct/Cold Fusion which are in the PRO Dry kit.

400 shot! Are you running a progressive with that?

Not a 400 shot but rather a 300. The 400hp noids offer durability second to none, and a great amp rating to over come contaminates. The powershot noids are fine in there own regard but are a low amp noid, and small orifice. Will use a progressive on third stage.

Can't be too safe, trust me, I KNOW! Doubling up is a great idea in case something happens to one of your noids.
