Safest way to run 200 shot on stock internals?
i know this has been discussed alot and i would search if the search was working properly but it dont..so i want to run a 200 shot on my car..car details are in sig..i have been sprayin a 100 shot and recently switched to the 150..its a tnt f-1 kit..so if i have 100 octane, pull timing way back and a fat a/f ratio do you think i could get away with a 200 shot? also i have a holley 255 pump and 37#injectors..right now its just a on/off kit..would a progressive controller or dual stage be a good idea? or can i make it with what i got now? also i dont use the nitrous everyday, i use it sparingly..so what do yall think?

A TNT 200 hits pretty damn hard. I think your set up will last alot longer if you break it up into two stages or go with a progressive controller. It would be a real good idea to add a hotwire kit to the fuel pump if you havn't already. Before my cam I was ok with just a Walbro for a TNT 200, but after the MS3 I was loosing 10-12psi off the line and not recovering with a 225 shot (at the crank). With the addition of a Hotwire kit and Voltage Blaster the car is now ok.

Naw. Just shoot 200 shot off the line Just a "few" bolt on's, but great suspension, stock shortblock, got me my best ever of a 10.08, 132+ with a 1.3 60' time.
If you don't have the suspension, rear-end and tires, a 200 shot may be a little much. It took me a while to get things tuned in.

I have put over 200lbs of Nitrous through a stock bottom end LQ9@200. Single nozzle NX wet.It can be done but will eventually break.Our goal was to see how long it would take and how crazy we could get.
I eventually got a decent tune set-up for the 200 non-progressive on pump gas. Then we got silly and jumped to 250 and it shattered a piston. From the looks of things it wouldn't have taken much more from the 200 either.
It can be done for a good long time though.

BTW: a fat A/F is NOT GOOD. Tune the engine for max power THEN tune your Nitrous. Yes you will need to deviate from spec'ed jetting most of the time.Watch TNT 's jetting call-outs they are different from the rest of the companies. They tend to use slightly bigger jets therefore providing you with more nitrous at a given power level.That's the BEST advice I can give you.
I had the Truck tuned for a real 12.4 a/f and that's where it ran best .Obviously you'll need something slightly different as you have a different vehicle.

I would not do a 200 shot into the TB. If you wanted to run a 200 shot do a direct port. Its safer and you wont have to worry about puddling. IMO

IMO the safest way to run a 200 shot on stock bottom end is to run a dedicated fuel system for the nitrous and use C16 race fuel when using the nitrous. You'll also want to run a very cold race plug like an AR472 when spraying.

I've been spraying my motor with a 200 dry shot coming in at 3200. I just bought a FJO controller just to give the maf a chance to see the shot better and so it would be a little easier on my custom motor.
