Running NOS 5177 dual stage jet sizes?
I have put my direct port plans on the back burner for now and have decided to run my NOS 5177 kit using my cheater solenoids and making it a two stage set-up. I already have a mallory dual window switch so I'm thinking a 100 shot at 3000rpm's and another 100 shot at 4500rpm's. Possibly running a progressive unit to really smooth out both hits and make it feel more linear. I have read that two 52 jets equal a 200 shot but when going single you have to use a mathmatical equation. I've seen this before and still can't figure out if I should run the 52's to get my 200 shot or if I need to look at each stage as a single shot and up the jet sizes using the mathmatical equation.
Also is it ok to use this kit this way or would spraying with only one side on the initial stage not work so good being that it was designed to fog with the other side?

Splitting the 5177 has been done for a few years, works fine. Do a search as there was a good thread a while back on dual staging the 5177 and a schematic and mucho info. Single .047 is 100fwhp and about 85rwhp. Single .052 is 120fwhp and about 102rwhp. This is at 950psi as per NOS and the 5177.
