Talking Vinny does yet another Dave Plate (Beers Install)

Spent the day at Vinny's shop (860 Performance) and learned what a quality install is all about! Here are some pics.

Used the Diablo Predator to pull timing and monitor KR, worked excellent. Saw 6° KR with a 100 shot, and pulled 7% (in Predator selection). KR after that was 0. with the 125 shot we pulled 10% (max) and saw a KR of 2°.

Some notes on what is left to do:
1) Matt at HSW will resize the black hoses, this will look fantastic with the HSW hoses on the Dry side.

2) The Dry system with 50 HP jetting was 12.1-12.5 on the A/F we stopped there on the dry, until we resolve the tuning issue. Not wanting to make my Blackwing CAI into swiss cheese, we are going to change the nozzles to 90° vice the 45° currently in use as a starting point for future Dry tuning.

3) Daves plate is running a 125 shot. Currently the setup is on dual stage 50 Dry/125 Wet. No issues with the fuel.

Current setup has 434.5 HP with some left in the dry side

Vinny can field the Dyno/Tuning questions

Combined 50 Dry/125 Wet vs the baseline numbers NA

50 shot Dry/75 Shot wet (Fuel Jet decreased by 2 from recommended).

Thanks Vinny!

Not on the dyno used for the nitrous testing. This dyno was not the origional dyno I had put the car on (Although it was the same model dyno). I had 308 HP with a tune (up from 299) on a dyno in Maine last year. This year I put colder plugs in and a new tune for Nitrous and the base number went down to 300 HP. Was it the new tune and colder plugs? I think I need to do a NA run on the origional Dyno, plugs and tune to get apples to apples comparision

Chris I will see if I can get some daytime pictures of that, a PM to Vin @ 860 while the install is fresh in his mind will likely get the info.

I am going back either next weekend or in June to get the LC-1 and a line lock installed, as well as some more Dry Tuning Dyno time.

I have not fired it off on the road yet, as I had rain showers on my two hour drive home

I have the 90mm plate also and love it. Numbers in sig. We didn`t lock the converter. Was new and didn`t want to hurt it on the new motor. But I love the plate over the ring. Check my numbers in sig with 200 shot!

Not to change the topic or nothing but what kind of blue is that on your car? Sweet ride. Pretty clean install as for the nitrous.

Beer had bought a dual stage window switch from Dynotune, and the wiring was pretty simple. I PM'd you with the details.

When I wired mine I grabbed the tach signal from under the fuse box near the battery. Works great....
