Time for Nitrous!? I'm putting a DP setup in my car pretty soon, but I have been questioning how big of a shot my motor is going to be able to handle with stock internals. I was thinking just to start with a 150 shot and after I do a full rotating assembly move up to a 250. Need some input. I don't know very much about nitrous. |
I would steer clear of doing a directport if you're new to nitrous and only plan on running a 150shot. Directports aren't the easiest systems to setup and they aren't really worth the trouble for a shot that size. You can always upgrade later... I would take baby steps...start off with a simple nozzle/MAF/Plate system and get your feet wet. |
ya start out at a single or dual nozzle setup, its alot easier to install and will be alot more cost effective for a 150shot. on stock internals you wont ever be able to do more that 225 progressive, maybe a little more but its on borowed time above 175 |
I completely understand what you are saying, but isn't a plate setup going to cost around $800 when I could put that toward a $2,000 DP setup. I could always adjust the DP to have a lighter or heavier shot with out spending more money in the process. |
I'm not handling any of the installation. Stenod Performance will be working on that and a few other things for me. |
What do you guys think of the NX Dual stage plate system? Maybe better to start off with this system? |
I have the same system on my car...great kit |
