Default Goodbye MSD Digital W/S..Hello FJO Mini Controller

My experience with the MSD digital window switch has been off and on. Mostly off. MSD needs to rethink their design. The specifics range from intermittent operation to missing segments in the display. It seems like an easy thing to provide a ground within an RPM window...apparently not. Well the solution for me is the FJO Mini Controller. I have researched this for quite some time. Thanks to Nitro Dave for all the assistance to reach a decision.

You'll be extremelly happy with the FJO mini. It's pretty easy to set up and works very
consistent.

Another heads up on the MSD Window Switch, not happy at all with the one I had, sent it back and went with the Zex Traction Control W/S.

For many people the MSD will be fine. I'm not saying don't buy a MSD or junk the one you have. I am saying I had issues with mine. Several, in fact. It pleases me that people are having good luck with the MSD product. I did not.

Now for the folks using the FJP mini - you using the built in TPS or a micro switch? Are you using the high current output directly to your solenoid(s) or triggering a relay?

I'm real happy with the FJO. I bought mine because I wanted a simpler looking install (less wire).Having the window switch, and progressive unit all in one package means I don’t have to wire all these functions together like I would have if these functions were discrete individual Items. The only other thing I would add to the FJO is maybe a A/F cutoff switch would be real nice.

so can you set the ramp rate on the controller to go by time, i read bout in on the website but still a little confused. like have it start at 10% and ramp up to 100% in 2 seconds. this could be the controller i end up gettin. got everything all in one and for cheap too.

thanks
Jon

Too bad it doesn't have an air/fuel kill or I'd be all over it.

To answer your question i'm using the TPS. Amd i found a relay was easier to wire up with all the solenoids.
